    > What is the difference between a .us email address and a .com email address?

    While you may not be familiar with email addresses that end in .us, they work and act just like those that end in with .com. In fact, there are over 250 extensions or ‘top level domains’ as they’re called, including .com, .us, .net, .org, .edu and .gov.

    Because most emailMyName addresses end in .us, we are able to offer you over 90,000 different personalized email domains, such as blake@sanders.us or marshall@jacobfamily.us. A .us address is a great way to get an email address that is personalized and simple to remember.

    emailMyName.com offers PC users two convenient ways to pay for our services:

    Credit card – The fee will automatically be charged to your credit card each month. We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover.

    Electronic Check
    – An electronic check is an Internet transaction that enables a you to automatically make payments from a checking or savings account. You will need a checking or savings account and valid routing and account numbers to use this option. Payments for service are automatically deducted from your checking or savings account on your billing date through the ACH (Automated Clearing House) system used by major banking systems today.

    This option works exactly like writing a personal check. Simply enter your checking or savings account information in the spaces provided on the registration form. This information is found along the bottom edge of your checks. You will need all of these numbers exactly as they appear for your account to sign up for electronic check payments.

    > When does my emailMyName service end?

    If you paid by credit card, unless you specifically request cancellation, your emailMyName service will continue on a yearly basis.

    Your service will automatically renew itself for another 12 months exactly 12 months from the day you signed up.

    > How do I change my billing information?

    For security reasons, we cannot process credit card or bank account information changes over email. To change your billing information (like your credit card or bank account), please call 1-800-396-1999.

    For any further emailMyName.com Customer Support inquiries, you can create your own personal ticket by visiting our Web site at http://www.emailmyname.com/s/pat. You will receive personalized assistance from a Customer Support technician in approximately one business day.

    > How can I cancel my emailMyName service?

    We’re sorry to hear you would like to cancel our service.

    If you are experiencing problems preventing you from properly using your service, then perhaps we can help resolve the issue. Simply fill out a Personal Assistant Ticket and one of our email representatives will be happy to help you.

    For security purposes, we are unable to process any cancellation requests that involve financial transactions via the Web. If you would like to cancel your account, please call our toll-free billing support number at 1-800-396-1999.

    When you call, be prepared to provide your emailMyName email address and last 4 digits of your credit card number for verification purposes.

    > How can I change credit cards after paying for emailMyName?

    If you would like to make changes to your billing account, please call 1-800-396-1999
    > What do I do if my bank or account number changes?

    If you are changing banks, or your account number changes, you must change your payment method to credit card. You can get assistance by calling 1-800-396-1999.
    > Why am I not receiving my email messages?

    If you know that someone sent you an email message and you have not received it yet, the sender may have mistyped your email address. You should verify with the sender that they sent the message to the correct email address.

    Your message may also be delayed due to network traffic. At emailMyName.com, we send our members’ email messages as our central computers receive them.

    The speed of an email message, however, depends largely on the speed of the Internet. The speed of the Internet can be influenced by factors such as network load or time of the day.

    > Can I read and write email using a dedicated email program (such as Outlook Express)?

    Yes. With emailMyName you have the option to use a dedicated email program (Outlook or Outlook Express) in addition to checking your email at www.emailmyname.com.
    > Do I have to be connected to the Web to read and write email?

    If you use a dedicated email program like Outlook Express, you can continue to read and write email without tying up your phone line or being connected to the Web. You will need to connect only when you want to get or send email.
    > How can I leave email on the server so I can download it later using my regular email program?

    Email left in your Inbox will remain on the server and will be available to be downloaded the next time you check your email using your dedicated email program. If you delete any messages from your Inbox while using emailMyName or place them in a folder on the emailMyName system, they won’t be downloaded to your computer. Messages in custom folders will be saved, but deleted messages are permanently erased.
    > What do I do if I’ve forgotten my password?

    > How do I save messages I’ve accidentally sent to the Trash?

    If you accidentally delete a message and want to retrieve it, you can move the message from the trash folder to your Inbox or a new folder you created.

    Note: Any messages left in the trash after you end your emailMyName session will be permanently erased.
