Install Norton™ Internet Security

    You’ll need a copy of the Norton™ Internet Security software and your activation PIN before you install. We recommend that you install the software from a CD-ROM. If you don’t have a CD, please click here to order one at no additional cost.

    Installing Norton™ Internet Security:

    1. Remove any other antivirus or firewall programs you may have on your computer:

    Windows Xp /Vista / 7:

      > Click the Windows Start button and then click Control Panel.
      > Click on Add/Remove programs. [In Windows Vista or Windows 7, click Uninstall a Program.]
      > Click any other antivirus or firewall program that you want to remove, and then click Remove or Uninstall.
      > Click Remove All to confirm that you want to uninstall the product.
      > Click Restart Windows Now (Recommended), and then click Finish.

    Windows 8:

      > Press the Winkey and C simultaneously to go to Charms bar.
      > Select the Settings charm from the Charms bar.
      > Click on Control panel.
      > Click on Programs and select Programs and Features.
      > Click any other antivirus or firewall program that you want to remove, and then click on Uninstall/Change.
      > Click Remove All to confirm that you want to uninstall the product.
      > Click Restart Windows Now (Recommended), and then click Finish.

    Windows 10:

      > Click the Windows Start button.
      > Click on Settings.
      > Click on Install Apps.
      > Click any other antivirus or firewall program that you want to remove, and then click Uninstall.
      > Click on Uninstall again when asked to confirm.
      > Click Restart Windows Now (Recommended), and then click Finish.

    2. Insert the Norton 360™ Online CD into your computer’s CD-ROM drive and follow the on-screen instructions (if you are installing from a download, double-click the file you downloaded to begin the installation process).

    3. If you do not want to join Norton Community Watch, uncheck the option. By default, this option is checked.

    4. Click OK to begin the installation, or click Install Options to change where Norton installs, and then click Browse to locate the new location.

    5. Click the User License Agreement, read the User License Agreement, and then click OK.

    6. Click Agree and Install.

    7. After completing the installation, Norton Internet Security launches automatically.

    8. Click the Activate Now button.

    9. Type in your PIN, and then click Activate.

    10. Type a name for your computer (or just leave the default name) then click Activate.
