What happens when I submit my order?
There are four steps between placing your NetZero DSL order, and surfing the Internet with your NetZero DSL service.
- Placing your order
Once you've checked your phone number to confirm you qualify for NetZero DSL service, and placed your order, we begin the process of configuring your phone line to receive DSL service. This process may take up to a week, and you can log in to your account page at https://account.netzero.net/s/account and select Track the status of your DSL order to check how your order is progressing any time after placing it.
- Setting your DSL Service Ready Date
As soon as we've started preparing your home phone line to receive DSL service, our engineers will determine your estimated DSL Service Ready date. This is the date on which your service is scheduled to be activated. You can check your DSL Service Ready date at any time by logging in to your account page at https://account.netzero.net/s/account and selecting Track the status of your DSL order.
Please note that the Service Ready date provides an estimate of when the service is scheduled to be activated. In some cases, there may be additional work required to prepare your phone line to receive DSL service, and the Service Ready date may change. If it has been a week since you placed your order and you have not received your Service Ready date, or your Service Ready date has already passed and the service has not yet been activated, then please contact customer support. - Shipping your DSL Installation Kit
We now put together your NetZero DSL Installation kit, which has everything you need to install and setup your new NetZero DSL service. Your kit includes the NetZero DSL Connection Center software on CD, easy to follow instructions, the DSL modem, Ethernet cable, DSL modem power cord, and phone jack filters. Normally, the DSL Installation Kit is shipped within a week of placing your order. When we ship your DSL Installation Kit your DSL Order Status page will have the tracking number. You can track the status of the shipment by logging in to your account page at https://account.netzero.net/s/account and selecting Track the status of your DSL order. If you do not receive your DSL Installation Kit, or if you have questions about your shipment, then please contact customer support. Please click here to view additional customer support options.
When you receive your NetZero DSL Installation Kit, make sure to check your DSL Service Ready date to see if the NetZero DSL service has been activated for your phone line. You will not be able to connect to the Internet until the DSL service has been activated for your phone line.
Once your NetZero DSL service is activated, you can proceed with setting up the installation kit.
- Activating your service
You will receive a final confirmation when your NetZero DSL service has been activated. To verify the activation, log in to your account page at https://account.netzero.net/s/account and select Track the status of your DSL order.
