Do I need to have "Proxies" set up, or Proxy software installed?

NetZero DSL recommends that you disable any proxy software or proxy settings, as they can have a negative effect on your NetZero DSL connection.

To disable proxy settings for Mac OS-X:

  1. On Apple menu, click Location, and choose Network Preferences.
  2. Click on Proxies tab.
  3. Remove check from all the boxes.
  4. Click Apply now.
  5. Close Network window.
