Netscape Mail - "Unable to open outgoing mail file"

This error is caused by an incorrect mail file setting. Identify and correct your setting by completing the instructions below:

  1. Open Netscape Navigator.
  1. From the Options menu, select Mail and News Preferences.
  2. Select the Composition tab.
  1. Delete the contents of the Mail File field.
  2. In the Mail File field, type c:\windows\Sent
  3. Click OK to exit.
  4. From the File menu, select Exit.
  5. Restart Netscape Navigator.
