You can set up a personal network for various Internet-ready devices depending on which NetZero device you have,
NetZero HotSpot™ - This allows you to connect up to eight Wi-Fi enabled devices at a time and has a wireless range of approximately 150 feet, so you can share your Internet connection with Wi-Fi enabled devices such as computers, gaming consoles, smartphones, tablets, etc.
MiFi® 5580 or 500 LTE by Novatel Wireless™ - This allows you to connect up to 10 Wi-Fi enabled devices (and one tethered via USB) at a time. It has a wireless range of approximately 30 feet, so you can share your Internet connection with Wi-Fi enabled devices such as computers, gaming consoles, smartphones, tablets, etc.
NetZero 4G Home Modem - This also allows you to connect Wi-Fi enabled devices. In addition, you can connect devices using a standard network cable.
Follow these steps to add a Wi-Fi-enabled device to your network:
- On your Wi-Fi enabled device, open the Wireless or Wi-Fi settings.
- View all available networks and select your assigned NetZero network name (SSID.)
- When prompted, enter the password key information and then connect.
- The NetZero SSID and key will be clearly displayed on your NetZero HotSpot and NetZero 4G Home Modem.
- If you're not sure how to configure your Wi-Fi enabled device, consult the user's manual for instructions on connecting to a wireless network.
NetZero Stick™ - This can only be used to connect the computer which it is plugged into. A local network cannot be created with the NetZero Stick.
