Installation & Setup
NetZero Stick™ - Setting up your NetZero Stick is very simple. All the drivers and applications will be installed automatically for computer systems that are supported. - Plug your NetZero Stick into your computer.
- Follow the onscreen instructions to install the necessary system drivers. It may take a few minutes to complete the setup.
- When the setup is complete, the NetZero Stick will automatically detect the signal and establish a connection.
- If the system drivers are not automatically detected or installed, make sure that your computer meets the minimum system requirements. To view the system requirements, click here.
NetZero HotSpot™ - To set up your NetZero HotSpot:
- Unpack your NetZero HotSpot. If the battery is not already installed, remove the battery cover, and insert the battery in to the NetZero HotSpot.
- Your HotSpot may arrive fully charged and ready to go. If not, just plug it into an electrical outlet using the wall charger to recharge the battery (you can also recharge the battery by using your computer's USB port, although this will take longer).
- Turn on the NetZero HotSpot by pressing and holding the Power button until the screen lights up. The power button symbol looks like this
- After the power up sequence, the NetZero HotSpot will automatically detect the signal and establish a connection.
- The network name (SSID) and key will either be displayed on the front or back of your NetZero HotSpot.
- If you're using a computer, open the list of available networks to find the NetZero HotSpot (if you're using a different Wi-Fi enabled device, consult the user's manual for instructions on connecting to a wireless network).
- Select the NetZero network (SSID,) and enter the password key information to connect to the NetZero HotSpot.
MiFi® 5580 or 500 LTE by Novatel Wireless™ - To set up your MiFi® 5580 or 500 LTE:
- Unpack your MiFi® 5580 or 500 LTE.
- Insert the battery in to the MiFi® 5580 or 500 LTE.
- Your MiFi® 5580 or 500 LTE may arrive fully charged and ready to go. If not, just plug it into an electrical outlet using the wall charger to recharge the battery (you can also recharge the battery by using your computer's USB port, although this will take longer).
- Turn on the MiFi® 5580 or 500 LTE by pressing and holding the Power button until the screen lights up. The power button symbol looks like this
- After the power up sequence Press OK to select Menu and display the Menu screen.
- Use the navigation buttons to scroll to the Wi-Fi option and press OK to select More and display the Wi-Fi screen.
- Press OK to select More and display your Wi-Fi name and password.
- If you're using a computer, open the list of available networks to find the MiFi® 5580 or 500 LTE (if you're using a different Wi-Fi enabled device, consult the user's manual for instructions on connecting to a wireless network).
- Select the NetZero network (SSID,) and enter the password key information to connect to the MiFi® 5580 or 500 LTE.
NetZero 4G Home Modem - To set up your 4G Home Modem: - Unpack your 4G Home Modem.
- Plug the modem to a power outlet. There is no power button. The modem will power up automatically.
- After the power up sequence, the modem will automatically detect the signal and establish a connection.
- To connect a device via Wi-Fi, use the NetZero network (SSID) and password key information to connect to the modem. The SSID and key will be displayed on the side of your modem.
- To connect a device via network cable, plug one end of the cable to your device and plug the other end in one of the Ethernet ports at the back of the modem.
