Activate the iPhone® 4s Porting in a new phone number
If you are porting or transferring your active phone number to the NetZero network: - Complete the process of porting in your number on the following website: http://account.netzero.net/portnumber.
- Check your NetZero and alternate email addresses to verify that you have received the porting completion confirmation email with activation instructions (if porting fails, you will receive an email with instructions as well).
- Turn on your phone (if activation fails, re-start your phone and ensure battery is fully charged).
- Follow phone set-up instructions in the Manual and Quick Reference Guide.
Activating the iPhone® 4s with a new phone number
If you are activating your phone with a phone number assigned by NetZero: - Turn on your phone (if activation fails, re-start your phone and ensure battery is fully charged).
- Follow phone set-up instructions in the Manual and Quick Reference Guide.
General activation
To activate your phone, complete the following steps: - To turn the phone on, press and hold the Power key.
- Slide the screen to the right to begin set up.
- Select the preferred language.
- Select the preferred country or region.
- Select the preferred Wi-Fi network.
Note: If there are no Wi-Fi networks available, select Connect to iTunes. - If prompted, enter the selected Wi-Fi network's password, then select Join.
- Select the preferred Location Services option.
- Select Set Up as New iPhone®.
Note: Select Restore from iCloud Backup or Restore from iTunes Backup if restoring a previous iPhone®'s settings. - Select Sign In with your Apple ID.
Note: If you do not have an Apple ID, select Create a Free Apple ID and follow the prompts, or visit http://appleid.apple.com. - Enter the email address and password that is associated with your Apple ID, then select Next.
- Read the Terms and Conditions and select Agree.
- Select Agree.
- Select the preferred iCloud option. If prompted, select the preferred Find My iPhone® option.
- Select to enable or disable the iMessage and FaceTime options, and then select Next.
- Use the keypad to create a lock screen passcode.
Note: To skip, select Don't Add Passcode. Use the keypad to confirm the password.
Note: The set up will continue automatically after the code is input. - Select the preferred option to enable Siri.
- Select the preferred Diagnostics option.
- Select Get Started.
