What are the system requirements?
In order to use NetZero PC Tune-Up, your computer must meet these requirements:

  • Windows XP, Vista, or 7
  • Internet Explorer 6 or above
  • 64 MB RAM
  • 40MB free hard disk space

    • NetZero PC Tune-Up will not work on PCs running older version Windows, or on Mac.

    Do I have to be a NetZero member to get NetZero PC Tune-Up?
    No, you do not need to be a NetZero member to get NetZero PC Tune-Up. The only requirement is that you have Internet access. However, in order to use NetZero PC Tune-Up, you must create a NetZero Member ID and password.
    How do I install PC Tune-Up?
    Installing NetZero PC Tune-Up is easy. Just insert the NetZero PC Tune-Up CD into your CD drive and follow the on-screen instructions. Once the software is installed, connect to the Internet, double-click the NetZero PC Tune-Up icon on your Desktop, and type in your User Name and Password to access the software. Check the box next to Log in automatically next time to avoid having to enter your User Name and Password every time you use the software.

    Your NetZero PC Tune-Up User Name is the same as your NetZero Member ID, and your NetZero PC Tune-Up password will be provided on your CD sleeve.

    How do I retrieve my password?
    If you have lost or forgotten your NetZero PC Tune-Up password, you can retrieve it at any time by visiting www.netzero.net/tuneup

    Please note, your NetZero PC Tune-Up password is not the same as your NetZero account password.

    How do I check my computer with PC Tune-Up?
    To check your computer with NetZero PC Tune-Up, just double-click on the NetZero PC Tune-Up icon on your Desktop, and click Optimize. The software will then automatically begin to check your system.
    I’m having problems using PC Tune-Up.

    How do I uninstall PC Tune-Up?
    If you need to uninstall NetZero PC Tune-Up just click on the Windows Start button, select Control Panel, then click on Add or Remove Programs (Uninstall a program for Vista). Scroll through the list until you find NetZero PC Tune-Up, then select Remove.

    Please note that uninstalling NetZero PC Tune-Up does not cancel your service. If you wish to cancel your NetZero PC Tune-Up subscription, please click here to contact NetZero Customer Support.
