I just signed up for NetZero DSL and don't understand the amount I was charged on my bill. The one-time processing and handling fee $29.95 is charged immediately upon signing up for DSL service. The monthly subscription fee is charged when the NetZero DSL service is activated on your phone line. This charge is for a portion of the NetZero DSL monthly service fees from when DSL was activated to the end of your monthly billing period. Succeeding charges for your monthly subscription fees will be charged on your next billing date. The following are examples of when NetZero DSL charges are processed. Example 1: NetZero DSL upgrade for an account with NetZero Dial-up service. - The NetZero Dial-up billing date is on the 5th of every month.
- The account is upgraded to NetZero DSL on January 15 and a processing and handling fee ($29.95) is charged on the account.
- The DSL service is activated on January 20 and the account is charged for the partial month from January 20 to February 4.
- The account is charged for NetZero DSL service fees on February 5 which covers the next monthly billing period.
Example 2: New account signed up for NetZero DSL. - A new account is created and registered for NetZero DSL on January 15 and a processing and handling fee ($29.95) is charged on the account.
- The billing date on the account is on the 15th of every month.
- The DSL service is activated on January 20 and the account is charged for the partial month from January 20 to February 14.
- The account is charged for NetZero DSL service fees on February 15 which covers the next monthly billing period.
