How do I know how many hours I've used? While we don't display a member's cumulative time online, when you are close to reaching your 10 hour limit, you will receive a notice the next time you connect to NetZero. If you would like to continue to use NetZero for the remainder of the calendar month, you will have to sign up for one of our billable services.
For example, if your household were to reach the 10-hour limit on January 18th: Option 1: Sign up for the monthly Platinum service, which allows you to exceed the 10 hour limit for one month from activation. You also receive the bannerless Platinum toolbar instead of the ZeroPort.
Option 2: If you prefer, you may select not to pay a cent and wait until the beginning of the next calendar month. In this example, on February 1st, your free hours would be reset, and you would be able to log on to NetZero for 10 hours during the month of February - absolutely free. The choice is 100% yours: you can either convert to a Platinum account or wait until the first day of the next month and log on for an additional 10 hours at no cost to you. You can make the most of your household's 10 free hours by limiting your time online as much as possible. You can read and write your email offline, and connect when you want to send messages or check for new mail. Please keep in mind that in order to calculate your household's usage, you will need to add together the usage of every member of your household for that calendar month. Additionally, if you log on to NetZero between 8 and 10 hours of usage, you will receive a pop-up notification that you are approaching the 10-hour limit. Note: The hourly limit listed above is current as of 12/01/02.
