What is Light Speed and Warp Speed?

Light Speed and Warp Speed refer to settings you can use to determine the rate at which you can download data, giving you greater control over managing your data usage.

Light Speed has a maximum download speed of 1Mbps, and is the recommended speed for members who will mainly be using NetZero Mobile Broadband for tasks that don't need super-fast connection speed, like reading and writing email, checking stock prices, or reading news articles .

Warp Speed has a maximum download speed of 10Mbps, and provides a blowtorch connection that will have you downloading huge files almost instantly. It's ideal for watching videos, downloading songs, or streaming content from the web.

You can change between Light Speed and Warp Speed at any time, without making any changes to your service or without worrying about being charged. You are in control.

What devices can I use with NetZero Mobile Broadband?

You can choose from two affordable devices with which you can access the Internet with NetZero Mobile Broadband. Both offer the same fast speed and easy connection.

The NetZero Stick™ is ideal for people who use a laptop or netbook, and don't need to have more than one device connected to the Internet at a time. Just plug the Stick into a USB port on your device and connect.

The NetZero HotSpot can connect up to eight Wi-Fi enabled devices at once and has a range of approximately 150 feet. It's perfect for people who use tablets, who have multiple devices they want to connect at the same time, or who may not want to bother with plugging and unplugging their USB connection.
