Activate the ZTE Fury® Porting in a new phone number
If you are porting or transferring your active phone number to the NetZero network: - Complete the process of porting in your number on the following website: http://account.netzero.net/portnumber.
- Check your NetZero and alternate email addresses to verify that you have received the porting completion confirmation email with activation instructions (if porting fails, you will receive an email with instructions as well).
- Turn on your phone (if activation fails, re-start your phone and ensure battery is fully charged).
- Follow phone set-up instructions in the Manual and Quick Reference Guide.
Activating the ZTE Fury® with a new phone number
If you are activating your phone with a phone number assigned by NetZero: - Turn on your phone (if activation fails, re-start your phone and ensure battery is fully charged).
- Follow phone set-up instructions in the Manual and Quick Reference Guide.
General activation
To activate your phone, complete the following steps: - Turn the device on by selecting the Power key.
Note: The device can complete all Hands Free Activation steps with no user interaction. - If the Hands Free Activation fails to activate successfully, up to 5 additional activation attempts will be offered. If all attempts to activate fail, manual programming will be necessary.
- It is also necessary to have NetZero network coverage.
- The Hands Free Activation process will begin automatically.
- Once the Hands Free Activation screen appears, select OK.
- The device will update the PRL.
- Select OK when finished.
- The device will check for Firmware Updates.
- If an update is available, follow the onscreen prompts to complete. Otherwise, select OK.
- The device will reboot.
- If the Hands Free Activation is unsuccessful, from the home screen, select the Menu key.
Note: If Manual is selected when a Retry message is displayed, select Activate My Phone on the Device Self-Service screen. - Select Settings.
- Scroll to and select About Phone.
- Select System Updates.
- Select Update Profile.
- Once the profile update is complete, select OK.
To confirm activation, make a phone call.
