Setting Up Your Smartphone

    You can send and receive your NetZero email on your Smartphone. Select your phone to get instructions.
    (Note: There are many phone manufacturers who have Droid phones. If these instructions aren’t applicable, or if your phone is not on the list, please consult the phone user manual or contact your cellular provider for instructions on setting up your phone)

    BlackBerry

    1. From the home screen, swipe down from the top.
    2. Tap Settings.
    3. Tap Accounts.
      Note: If there is already an email account configured, Tap Add Account.
    4. Tap Advanced.
    5. Tap POP.
    6. Enter/confirm the following details
        Description: Optional
        Domain: Optional
        Username: your username
        Email Address: your email address
        Password: your password
        Server Address: pop.NetZero.com
        Port: 995
        Use SSL: is On
        SMTP Username: is username
        SMTP Password: is filled in
        SMTP Server address: smtp.NetZero.com
        Port: 465
        Sync Interval: Choose desired interval
    7. Tap Done.
    8. You will see your new account under Accounts section.
      You should receive a confirmation message and a new mailbox icon should appear on your device’s home screen.
    Droid / Android TM

    1. Tap the Menu or Home icon on the phone.
    2. Tap the Settings icon, and select Accounts.
    3. Tap Add Account, then select Email.
    4. Type your NetZero email address and password and tap Next.
    5. Now tap on Manual setup.
    6. Under Account type select POP3 as the server type.
    7. Incoming server settings screen will be displayed.
    8. Type: pop.NetZero.com for POP3 and for Port Number type: 995.
    9. Select SSL for Security type.
    10. Select Never for Delete email from server.
    11. Tap on Next.
    12. Outgoing server settings screen will be displayed.
    13. Type: smtp.NetZero.com and for Port Number type: 465
    14. Select SSL for Security type.
    15. Select the Require Sign-in checkbox.
    16. Choose how frequently you’d like to check your email and tap Next.
    17. Once the account is set up you will get a message Your account is set up, and email is on its way!
    18. Type the name that you want to be displayed for outgoing message under “Your name(displayed on outgoing messages)”.
    19. Tap Done.
    20. Wait for email to sync. Once it is completed, the email will be set up.
    iPhone/ iPad / IOS 6/7

    1. Tap Settings from the main menu.
    2. Tap Mail, Contacts, Calendars.
    3. Tap Add Account, select Other, and tap Add Mail Account.
    4. Type your name, your NetZero email address and your password and then click Next
    5. You will be taken to Mail, Contacts, Calendars with the email account configured
    6. Tap on the email account created under Accounts section of Mail, Contacts, Calendars.
    7. Under Incoming Mail server for Hostname type: pop.NetZero.com
    8. Scroll down to the bottom and Tap Advanced.
    9. Under Incoming Settings, enable Use SSL, Delete from server to Never, and type 995 as Server Port
    10. Tap on email account name to go back
    11. Tap SMTP under Outgoing Mail Server.
    12. Primary Server should be by default set as smtp.NetZero.com
    13. Tap on smtp.NetZero.com
    14. Under Outgoing mail server for Hostname type: smtp.NetZero.com( the server name will be available by default in case it is not available you can type in the provided outgoing server name)
        Username, Password should be prefilled.
        Enable Use SSL and type Server Port 465.
    15. Tap Done.
    16. Once it has been saved your email account will be configured successfully.
